Category Archives: The Peninsula
The St David’s Peninsula contains some of the oldest rocks found in Pembrokeshire. Dating from some 1,000 million years ago these pre-cambrian rocks provide some of the most spectacular scenery in the area. The Pembrokeshire Coast Path runs around the entire peninsula and in sections crosses over the pre-cambrian rocks. One of the best spots for finding the rocks is just south of St David’s City.
The coast along the Peninsula is also home to many small bays, ports and hidden beaches, inland hidden amongst the craggy outcrops are traditional Welsh houses and farms.
