One of Pembrokeshire’s most famous surfing beaches, Whitesands is a very popular beach at all times of the year.
Situated north west of St David’s city the beach is overlooked by Carn Llidi – an impressive rocky outcrop.
The beach is manned by lifeguards during the summer season and there is ample parking (paid during summer and other peak times). There is also a life saving club and regular surfing classes are held at the beach.
The beach can also be accessed via the Pembrokeshire Coast Path or you can also catch the Celtic Coaster shuttle bus (during the summer) from The Oriel y Parc car park in St David’s City.
During August is the annual Sand Church building competition where entries come from all over the UK to build their renditions of Churches out of the sand.
